Jr. Olympics at Ocean Air is just around the corner. It will take place this year on March 6, 2019 from 12:45-2:30 p.m. Registration form is available below.
This event is not possible without our wonderful volunteers! Please look back here for Volunteer Links.
The Jr. Olympics is a free skills competition that provides boys and girls, in grades 2-6 the opportunity to showcase their athletic abilities in four (4) sports – basketball, soccer, tennis and track & field (50 meter dash and standing broad jump). We have practiced the events in PE class from grades 2-6. The contest is based on SKILLS like dribbling, shooting, rallying a tennis ball, etc. Jr. Olympic Skills Competition encourages youth participation in sport and emphasizes fair and friendly competition.
Participation in Jr. Olympics is voluntary. Students can participate in any or all of the individual sports. Each sport is scored individually, boys and girls compete separately, and grade level groups are broken down as follows: 2nd, 3rd/4th, and 5th/6th. For those students who wish to participate, a parent-signed registration form must be turned in by Friday, March 1. Extra registration forms are available in the front office or here. 2018 Jr Olympics Reg Form
