Mission

The mission of the Ocean Air School PTA is to promote the educational success, health, and well-being of our children through strong school, parent, family, and community involvement and cooperation.

What is the PTA?

Did you know that the PTA (Parent Teacher Association) is the largest volunteer child advocacy group in the United States with over six million members? According to the National PTA (www.pta.org), the PTA’s mission is to provide “a powerful voice for all children; a relevant resource for families and communities; and a strong advocate for the education and well being of children.” For more than 100 years, PTA has promoted this mission. Parents and teachers continue to work together as part of the national effort to make a positive impact on the lives of our children and achieve the goals of the PTA.
